East Asian Medicine
East Asian Medicine is a comprehensive system of healthcare that uses acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, gua-sha, acupressure and massage, qi gong and meditation, nutritional therapy, and herbal formulas to support your body in coming back to homeostasis.
I practice East Asian Medicine, as a living breathing model for health. Whether you are dealing with acute or chronic physical or emotional ailments, my goal is to meet you as you are.
My in person care utilizes acupuncture, cupping, and energetic work to move toward your health goals. Much of my work is focused around menstrual health care such as PCOS, fertility, amenorrhea, endometriosis, or painful periods. As the body and the mind are never separate, I often help my patients navigate through complex trauma which shows up in a myriad of ways: digestive concerns, jaw pain, anxiety/depression/grief, headaches, and much more.
Outside of our regular weekly meetings, I aim to give you in depth care plans that meet you where you are at. This may include lifestyle modifications, nutritional changes, and botanical therapies such as herbal medicine and supplements. My goal is not to overload you with information and let you figure it out, it is to be your partner in your health journey.
Access to care is important to me, if my rates are not within your budget I have an ever expanding resource library, which I offer at sliding scale rates. I also offer workshops and community acupuncture events around the los angeles area.
Functional Medicine
Functional Medicine is a natural extension of East Asian Medical theory. The combination of traditional medicine and functional diagnosis is a true patient-centered approach for us to understand both biologically and energetically what is happening in the body.
Functional Medicine uses in-depth assessments, advanced laboratory testing, and detailed medical history to identify and address the underlying imbalances or disruptions contributing to illness, such as gut dysbiosis, inflammation, or hormonal dysregulation.
By integrating traditional medicine techniques through lifestyle/nutritional management and botanical therapies with functional lab tests we can thoroughly address chronic conditions like pain, inflammation, digestive disorders, hormone and endocrine issues, unknown allergies, and so much more. While conventional medicine may focus on symptom management, functional medicine and traditional medicine aim to address the root causes, potentially reducing the need for medication and improving quality of life.
